Post xmas

Yo y'all wassup! haha no lar that can't be me... that's such a poser whilst im such a nice unassuming bloke. Anyway, feeling a bit tired and my bro's wasted and sick. The result of a 2 nite stay over at my cousins' and gramps'. It was wild, there was booze, and it was hot!~ by the way im the oldest of them, the next is 18, the next 15, the next 14 and 13. You get the idea... what a crowd! It was da bomb man! And we got wasted on cheap VODKA from St Peter's ass. Actually more like Sir Robert's Vodka - some cheap crap. And just to be totally honest, actually i was the only wasted one haha. Everynite at the "party" sleep was at 0400 hrs to 1000 hrs... weird timings, and then breakfast/lunch or brunch at 12 pm.

Anyway christmas for me this year was 'aight - not the best ever but not the worst. One bad thing though - i kinda overslept and never made it to church thi s Christmas.. So i am sorry.

Well been awhile since i last posted.. the lethargy bug kinda hit me i guess. Miss bangkok and can' t wait to get back. Right now though, its back to school and im gonna try adopting a positive outlook towards its return as much as i dread it deep down. Time to start bidding for my modules and move on - since i got my ass burnt this semester with horrific results i deserved lar.

As New Year draws near, i am looking forward to it - but primarily because its the last chance for celebration and having a good time before school starts, and not because it has any particular significance.

Today i had a monster dinner thanks to my friends Ivan and Roy. We checked out some "makansutra" mee siam and mee rebus stall along Bukit Timah near Binjai drive or something like that. Was aight lar, nothing fantastic if u ask me, but not bad either. Miss my Chilli Noodles from Beach Road hawker centre but unfortunately no one seems to share my enthusiasm for that place heh.

Watched Narnia that day, and whilst i found it aight, it wasn't mind blowing like Lord of the Rings felt to me. But i liked it anyhow because i am a fan of the books. Voyage of the Dawntreader, Prince Caspian etc... books i read in the old days when i was the authoritative HEAD LIBRARIAN of ACJS!!! haha....

Recently had some conversation with my friend Ivan's friend aka Jolin aka slut haha and we were talkin about reading books. Somehow books don't seem to fit as seamlessly into our society in Singapore and even less so as time goes by. The population of avid readers seems to dwindle and Media and Technology seem to be winning this battle. Even i myself, HEAD LIBRARIAN of ACJS 1996 find myself being tugged over to the realm of TV and the hype is about the latest computer games. Not so much books anymore. The joy and pleasure derived from a good read doesn't seem so present now adays. However there are certain books that brought back memories of the good ol' addictive book days. well at least to me lar . Like Harry Potter, and Da Vinci Code - liked those books because they actually had a grip on me and brought literal meaning to "page turner".

Been raining cats and dogs these few days, and yet my irrepressable (did i spell that correctly) spirit refuses to be literally dampened. Not that i'm in constant ecstacy and positively hopeful, but I'm aight i guess. Occupied myself today with washing clothes and ironing - just like the dutiful Cinderella i am.

Today's newpaper headlines were occupied by how a Bak Kut Teh woman got shot 7 times! For splashing a bowl of soup onto the robber's face. The robber received one round of Bak Kut and the Lady received SEVEN rounds instead. Life can be a tough i guess.
